Legs that are put through a hole in the tier are good if you have a thick lower tier.

Tiers that are made with racks or thin surfaces use welded braces of different widths depending on the required strength of the work table.

These are also used if you request a lower bar for structural support, which are commonly used on smaller work tables since bigger ones are balanced due to their own size and weight.

Sometimes, these braces are not welded, but screwed in, which makes the tiers adjustable in height: braces are attached to the tier, and by loosening the brace screws, you can move the tier up or down.
