A 2-pole DC contactor are coil containing contact sets. The main purpose of a double pole DC contactor or 2 pole DC contactor is to switch the current between an off and off state.
It has two shunts that allow current to pass at the same time when the contactor is energized. The same applies when it is not energized with current not passing through both shunts.
Applications of 2 Pole DC Contactor
We use these contactors mostly in instances where only one direction is used to switch off loads. Such examples include electric cars and machine DC drives.
Additionally, a double DC contactor can be used in the power supply of various electric control systems. Pre-charging Contactors also require a Double Pole DC Contactor for its operations.
